2.Consensus Training

Intro to Ontario Public Interest Research Group.
Consensus; No voting – everyone must agree through compromise in order to move forward with any 	action in the group.
Roles to be on rotation: Facilitator leads and sets the agenda for the meeting.  Minute taker records 	decisions made by the group.

What we want to focus the group on.
New Wal-Mart in Peterborough.
Strengthen our own and spread awareness to others of how we are affected by corporations.
Organizing campaigns in order to get people interested.
Affecting society on our home level to make changes and have an impact on a bigger scale.
Focus on specified aims to be decided by group.

Publicity for the day (Posters on campus, downtown and in shopping areas Landsdown, Portage, etc)

Actions for Buy Nothing Day (Demonstrations outside Wal-Mart)


6.Wal-Mart

A movie about Wal-Mart is being put on by OPIRG.  It will be at the 379 Cinema, December 8th, 2005.
Work on advertising and publicitiy.


7.Skill Sharing
	
Buy Nothing Christmas
Volunteers to demonstrate and teach D.I.Y. skills (ie. knitting, origami, braclets, etc.)
Trading home-made gifts (work with free market?)


8.Other Business

Awareness Ideas 
Mix-tapes/CDs to hand out with information about our group and swapping events.
Focusing on vending machines on campus.
