Proposed Anti-Contraception Regulations Jeopardize More than Women's Health

Dear Desirae,

We are writing to urge you to immediately communicate with Secretary Michael Leavitt, head of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, about regulations being considered that will negatively affect access to critical health services for men and women. These regulations, being proposed by the Bush administration, require any entity receiving U.S. funding from the Department of Health and Human Services to certify that is does not discriminate against organizations or individuals who do no want to provide services they consider objectionable.

This may sound reasonable, but would result in the provision of services being curtailed due to ideological positions which may jeopardize a personʼs health. Go to our UMPower Action Center to find out more about this issue and take immediate action.

Sincerely,
