Mallam Abubakar Yahaya PI (Admin) Secretary OPENING PRAYER The meeting which was presided over by the Head of CDS Unit, Alhaji Isah Abdullahi Gurin (CI) started with an opening prayer by Mallam Abubakar Yahaya at exactly 12.05pm. CHAIRMANS REMARK The Chairman in his opening remark welcomed all the members to the meeting. He informed the members that, the aim of the meeting was to nominate outstanding 2008 Batch A NYSC/MDG Advocacy Project Corps Volunteers who have distinguished themselves in the areas of the Personal Community Development Service Project, which is one of the cardinal programmes of NYSC Scheme. He further highlighted the criteria for the nomination of the best FACOR and MAC Corps Volunteers to the Committee as contained in the circular from NDHQ on the nomination of best CVs for 2007 Batch B Service Year, since 2008 Batch A guidelines is yet to be released. Consequent upon this, the Committee agreed that the criteria highlighted should be allocated marks base on the relevance of each of the criteria. Hence, the Committee unanimously agreed on the following marks for each parameter. CITATION Mr. DENIRAN SIMEON EMOJEVWE, a native of Kokori Inland, Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State was born to the family of Mr. And Mrs. Gabriel Deniran on 30th day of April 1982. He had his First School Leaving Certificate with Sound Foundation International Private School Lagos in 1994. Having completed his Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) in 2000 with Lagos State Model College Ojo, he proceeded to Delta State University Abraka where he bagged a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts. Thereafter he was mobilized for National Service on March 26th 2008. Deniran was head Boy and timekeeper in his primary school, President of the Christian Fellowship in the College and Public Relation officer in the Higher Institution. As part of his sacrificial and selfless service in the development of his community, he empowered the young people by donating and training them on musical instruments. As best serving corps member in his place of primary assignment, his creative ingenuity and tendentiousity earned him the status of NYSC second best Artistic Director for 2008 at the grand finale of the NYSC Director generals cultural competition at Abuja. He is a reliable and dependable person with great skills in him. A BRIEF CITATION OF MR. NNAMANI CHUKWUKA Mr. Nnamani Chukwuka Mathew was born on the 27th day of August 1978 to the family of Mr & Mrs Amos Ugwu of Attakwu Akegbe village in Nkanu West Local Government of Enugu State. He attended Central Primary School Ihe, Awgu Local Government Area, Enugu State between 1985 1990 and Owukpa Secondary School, Benue State between 1993 1999, where he obtained Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE). He went to the prestigious University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) between 2000 2006 and obtained B.Sc in Psychology. During his school days, he held lots of leadership positions, which include President Faculty of Social Sciences UNN, 2004/2005 Academic Session, President National Association of Nakanu Students 2005/2006, Senator of NANS, 2006, President Attakwu Student Union 2004 2005. National Coordinator and Co-founder WAWA Global Youth Movement 2005 to date, and others too numerous to mention. Mr. Nnamani was mobilized for the mandatory NYSC service in March 2008 and was deployed to Yobe State. Posted to G.G.S.S Buni Gari for his Primary Assignment where he was assigned to teach Government for SSI,II and III. He volunteered for the NYSC/MDGs Awareness Creation Training and was selected as a DKF. In order to better the lot of his host community, he embarked on laudable community development service projects as listed before, aimed at achieving the 8 MDGs goal, in his host community. While in camp, he participated actively in all camp activities where his Platoon 9 came 1st in Drama Competition.
